MS Word and Excel. Newer versions allow you to save files as web pages. This is useable, but keep your pages small because this technology uses lots of code that takes a long time for browser to read.

Start with your own ISP (AoL, Compuserve, Earthlink, etc.) and many textbook publishers are now offering both websites to support their texts and free websites to instructors using their texts – ask your text representatives.

Blackboard.com. HU supports this platform with courses, but this is the site publicly available to educators. This comprehensive site includes web development tools, customizable templates, free hosting, and articles. http://www.blackboard.com/

Teacher’s Net Home Page Maker. Offers free web site and easy web page construction for K-college teachers. http://teachers.net/sampler/
